Offer your clients a fantastic tour retracing the footsteps of the last 123 passengers who came to the White Star Line Ticket Office on Thursday, April 11th 1912, to board the Titanic. Our stories are told using a combination of a guided tour, AV presentations, audio stations and digital and traditional storyboards. We also feature a small number of interesting artefacts relating to our exhibit material. Tours are guided by an English-speaking tour guide. Headsets are available to foreign-speaking guests in French, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish and Chinese.
THE TITANIC EXPERIENCE
Check in to the original White Star Line Ticket Office, and receive a boarding card. Your boarding card will have the details of one of the 123 passengers who boarded the Titanic on Thursday, April 11th 1912.
Our tour guides will take you on a virtual journey to board the tenders and join the Titanic for her maiden voyage to New York. You will view the original pier (Heartbreak Pier), the last point of land contact for the Queenstown passengers. We will immerse you in life on board Titanic, and tell you a little about the conditions on board for third and first-class passengers. When disaster strikes, you will experience the chill of the sinking in a unique cinematographic experience.
After the guided element of the tour, you will visit our exhibition area dedicated to passengers’ triumphs and tragedies. The exhibition room will take you through a collection of audio-visual screens and storyboards that explore the events that led to the tragic sinking, the role of the RMS Carpathia in the rescue of the survivors, the outcome of the formal British and US investigations into the tragedy, the discovery of the wreck, and more.
The final element of our experience is the story room, where you will learn the fate of your passenger and all the Queenstown passengers. We also feature a selection of exciting artefacts from Carpathia, The Odell Family Collection and some original serving pieces from the White Star Line fleet of the early 20th century.
